Small River
Load and unload ships against the clock.
Early prototype
Small River puts you at the crane controls of a small port: move containers between the dock and docked ships, racing the clock to keep every shift profitable.
The vision is a growing operation — cargo that doesn’t mix well and has to be routed around, tougher shifts with more ships and more at stake, and a rhythm of storytelling alongside the work, in the spirit of Papers, Please. None of that exists yet; right now it’s the core loop only.
There’s one playable shift today — two ships, back to back — with a working score system and an end-of-shift summary. No progression between shifts and no persistence beyond that yet. Follow along here as it grows.
